Situated on the former Wellesley Hospital site, The Rekai Centre at Wellesley Central Place is home to 150 residents living in either private rooms or private rooms sharing a bathroom. There is a unit dedicated to Gentle Care, providing care and support to residents living with Alzheimer’s.
The Rekai Centre at Wellesley Central Place was built only five years ago and offers not only large, spacious rooms for the residents, but a private family dining, a Wintergarden and large community rooms for the myriad of program activities which take place. The Rekai Centre at Wellesley Central Place also boasts of the only long term care home with a green roof.
This lovely home provides a warm, welcoming atmosphere for residents and visitors alike, and facilitates excellence in long term care that respects the dignity and individuality of residents.
The Rekai Centre at Wellesley Central Place welcomes not only senior citizens, but over 12% of the residents are individuals who have suffered a traumatic injury or illness and can not return to their homes.
